Palawan’s Butterfly Garden is a place where beautiful and fascinating butterflies fly around enjoying the freedom of a wonderful garden. After watching the short introduction of the video, one will then enter a walk-in cage and will be escorted to see the most exciting place – the garden! Trees are growing, flowers are blooming, and fish are swimming in the pond – yet only butterflies can enjoy the wonder in the garden.

The garden is filled with a mixture of flower-bearing plants where butterflies can fly around from one place to another. We can also find various pupae and cocoons where caterpillars change into butterflies. It is unnoticeable, unless you read the signage carefully. There’s a small trail to follow, including a short cave-like section.

There are also a wide range of butterflies in the garden. It was a pleasure bordering almost on Zen to watch them as they fly back and forth overhead, or swoop past your nose, heedless of the humans that at times intrude their territory. While summer times are perfect to visit, the rainy season tends to make butterflies less eager to fly around.

The place can be described as romantic, with such features of different kinds of flowers, a lover’s bench, and a mini lagoon. The Palawan Butterfly Garden resembles the natural habitat that we find in mountains. This kind of place not only benefits the productivity of the butterflies but it also allows the tourists to feel as if they are in the mountains, when in fact, they are just in the city. It is an amazing establishment.
